Care Guide

All of our jewelry is made from durable stainless steel, a silver-toned metal that doesn't oxidize or rust. Our steel base metal is then coated with real 14 kt gold using the PVD method to create our yellow gold pieces. Physical Vapor Deposition is the most eco-friendly coating process available that provides a brilliant finish and a strong, long-lasting coating since it bonds with the base metal. Both our base metal and coating make our jewelry suitable for sensitive skins.

Our 14kt gold PVD coatings can be up to 10X thicker than conventional gold plating, making our jewelry waterproof, tarnish, sweat, and regular wear resistant. Your gold-plated stainless steel jewelry will last for years and years if cared for correctly as per this care guide.

About Chemicals

Our jewelry can only chemically change colour when it comes into contact with another substance. It can't change colour solely by oxidation. We recommend that you do not spray perfumes directly onto it or other everyday products like creams, tans, lotions, hand antibacterials, etc., containing harsh chemicals that can destroy the plating. If your jewelry comes in touch with any of the above, clean it gently with warm soapy water and gently wipe it dry with a soft cloth after each wear.

About Water

You can wear our jewelry in the water while sweating, running or bathing; Unlike costume jewelry, our accessories will not tarnish and will never rust or fade. However, to look after and prolong the years of wear you get from your gold-plated accessories, we recommend regularly avoiding showering, bathing, or swimming with our 14kt gold-plated pieces. Put your jewelry on last when getting ready!

Jewelry Cleaning

Clean your jewelry by wiping down each piece after every wear. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth or a cotton ball to wipe down your jewelry very lightly. Do not use any polishing materials including cloths as they may scratch the plating. Do not leave soaking in water, or any harsh chemicals.

Jewelry Storage

Remove your jewelry before going to bed to prevent it from becoming tangled, rubbing together with other metals or breaking. We recommend storing each jewelry piece individually in our signature pouch or box. This will ensure each piece is safely stored separately so they do not rub together or become tangled. If left tangled together, metals may react and begin to tarnish. Keep all your jewelry separate. Keep gold with gold, silver with silver, stainless steel with stainless steel, and help your jewelry keep its shine.

Gemstones, Crystals & Pearls

Organic gemstones and crystals are sensitive. Gems like pearls, amber, and coral require special care because they are porous. Make sure you don’t expose your gemstone jewelry to the chemicals in hair products, fragrances, cosmetics and others. Protect your gems and keep your jewelry looking brilliant by removing your accessories before vigorous exercise or showering and applying them last when getting ready.

If worn often, pearls should be cleaned and restrung professionally once a year. We offer a restringing service for a fee; email us at for a quote.

Leather Care

Genuine leather acts like skin, meaning it’s porous and will never be completely waterproof. Keep your leather jewelry dry and take it off before applying moisturizer, oils, perfumes or colognes.

Water can damage leather and cause it to stain, discolour, or deteriorate. If your leather bracelet gets wet, brush off the water gently and use a soft, absorbent cloth to pat the strap (not scrub), and let it air-dry. Extreme heat on the other side can dry it out, so avoid radiators, stoves, or campfires. Leather does best in cool or room-temperature areas.
